Public leaders of the future will be called upon to respond to ever-more complex and systemic global challenges in ways that are creative, courageous and connected. Our goal is to develop young leaders capable of rising to meet those challenges by communicating and collaborating across cultures as well as thinking across traditional disciplines.
Our mission going forward is to equip the next generation with the skills, knowledge and tools necessary to take the lead in solving global challenges. Building on ten years of success delivering the Sauvé Scholars Program , the Jeanne Sauvé Public Leadership Program invests in the next generation of public leadership to help solve global challenges.
This intensive, in-house, intercultural and international program is based at Sauvé House in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Every program brings together a group of young leaders from Canada and around the world to live and work together and to share their personal passion for addressing a particular globally significant challenge. Participants bring to the program their own expertise and perspectives, shaped by their experiences working to address this issue in their respective contexts, communities and countries.
The Program invests in the capacity of these young leaders to effect positive change by cultivating in them the skills required to work across cultures, countries, disciplines and sectors in the public sphere. It does this by:
- Inviting young leaders to rethink a key global issue from diverse cultural and disciplinary perspectives
- Inciting them to innovate through joint action
- Investing in their public leadership skills with professional and personal development programming
- Incubating their ideas by providing time and space for compelling individual initiatives to take root
The 2015-2017 Program Fellows will collectively take up the challenge of Public Leadership for Culturally Diverse Societies.
By supporting inquiry and concrete action around this important issue, the program aims to stimulate participants to cultivate their leadership knowledge and skills in ways that they can later apply to effectively lead change on a wide range of issues within the public sphere.

Everyone has the potential to become an entrepreneur.
You do not have to be born as an entrepreneur,
you do not have to work twelve hours a day,
and you do not need a patent or a lot of capital.
You do not even need detailed knowledge of business management,
legal issues, marketing, or finance.
You only have to start your company from pre-existing components or by working in a team
